Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 July 2026
ProShopMarket ("we", "us") operates the marketplace at proshopmarket.co.uk, connecting shoppers with independent golf club pro shops. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights under UK GDPR. If you have questions, contact us at hello@proshopmarket.co.uk.
What we collect
- Account data — the email address you use to create an account (buyer or shop owner), handled via our authentication provider.
- Order data — items ordered, amounts, and the contact/delivery details you enter at checkout.
- Shop data — for pro shops: shop name, location, contact and stock you list.
- Technical data — basic, privacy-preserving usage and performance information from our hosting provider.
Why we use it (legal basis)
- To provide the marketplace and process your orders — performance of a contract.
- To operate, secure and improve the service — legitimate interests.
- To send transactional emails (order receipts, sale notifications) — contract / legitimate interests.
Who processes your data
We share data only with the providers needed to run the service:
- Stripe — payment processing. Your card details are entered directly with Stripe and are never stored by us.
- Supabase — database and account authentication.
- Vercel — website hosting and delivery.
- Resend — sending transactional emails (where enabled).
- The pro shop you buy from receives the order details needed to fulfil and dispatch it.
Some providers may process data outside the UK/EEA under appropriate safeguards.
Cookies
We use only essential cookies required to keep you signed in and to operate the site securely. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Because these cookies are strictly necessary, no consent banner is required, but you can clear cookies at any time in your browser.
How long we keep it
We keep account and order records for as long as your account is active and as required for legal, accounting and tax purposes, after which they are deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your data, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email us at hello@proshopmarket.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time; the "last updated" date above shows the latest version.
